Nord at The Plaza – Liverpool
Our client. Bruntwood, challenged us to create a flagship destination hospitality venue for their 3000 building customers, those living and working in the surrounding area and the wider Liverpool audience and beyond. The bar (the largest in Liverpool) and destination restaurant is home to the award winning Nord, the brainchild of chef Daniel Heffy. It flows seamlessly from the customer lounges and reception area of The Plaza via its use of materials, colour and biophillia. Our objective for this iconic building was to create a place that is ‘in the spirit of the 1960s’, not a pastiche. One that’s bold, colourful, confident, progressive and looking to the future. We wanted to challenge the user from an aesthetic perspective but achieve a place that they coudl feel comfortable in. There's nowehere else like it outside of London.
